Stretching through the fears, brings unimaginable miracles
Like many yogi's before me, my passion for the ancient path of yoga sprung out of an injury on a physical level. A debilitating back problem brought me to a yoga class, and immediately something stirred in me. The breath opened me up to something so familiar; a feeling of home. I knew I had to have yoga in my life everyday.
Three years later I joined the British Wheel of Yoga teacher training diploma course, and began my initiation into becoming a yoga teacher. I began teaching in 2006.
In 2007 I founded Luna Rhythms Yoga
After studying the ancient texts of India in my yogic enquires, I began to wander what was happening in my own land around the same time, 5000 years ago. This enquiry lead me to a norse coven, here in England, where I studied and practiced for 13 years, learning the path of the ancient ones, of our ancestors, who practiced through earth based traditions with ceremony and ritual.
We celebrated each turn of the wheel, with rituals to the God's and Goddesses, to the elements of Earth, Air, Water and Fire. We celebrated Mother Earth, and revered her, giving thanks for the bounty she provides. The Nordic and Celtic traditions have many similarities to the yogic path, and so I decided to create a system that incorporates both.
