Death and Rebirth -New Moon In Libra πŸ¦‹

This waning moon has been a deep time of letting go for me and my family. Our wonderful staffy dog Lyla, who would have turned 16 years old this week, sadly passed away. The loss of her is felt strongly, yet her death was incredibly peaceful and sacred. We honoured her in a three day ritual that was healing for us all. The way she passed will always bring me comfort over the years to come, as I remember her and her time with us. I will write more about Lyla in the next few weeks, but for now I sit with gratitude for the incredible gift she was, for the love and joy she brought us, and for the grief, that reminds me of how important and special and wonderful she was in our lives. Oh how she is missed. This waning moon, my son moved out to start a new chapter in Brighton with his wonderful girlfriend. I will miss them, but oh how excited I am for them too! So with my son leaving, I too am now slowly getting ready to move and start my new chapter with my wonderful partner Ulric. I am moving to join home with Ulric and I intend to move lightly, with a minimalist approach, so I am letting go of many things.

Off the back of all this letting go, which is a process that can feel at times devastating, heart breaking, sad, uncomfortable, is the feeling of lightness. A feeling that on the otherside new creativity and energy is just waiting to be birthed! New life force waiting to spring into action, and burst with vitality and fresh perspectives. Oh how exciting that feels!!

So with this in mind, can you feel the potential, the oppurtunity that’s present month on month as we tap into the waning and waxing moon and the shifts of seasons, that nature offers us? As we practice the letting go and then the new life each month, when it comes to the big events in life, that require our courage to face them with wisdom and grace, we will be much better equipped to face them, because of the work we put in now.

How the New Moon in Libra Affects the Physical Body - October 14th 2023

The New Moon in Libra is a time for fresh starts and new beginnings. It's also a time to focus on balance and harmony in all areas of our lives, including our physical bodies.

Libra is an air sign ruled by Venus, the planet of beauty, love, and relationships. It's also associated with the kidneys, skin, and endocrine system. During the New Moon in Libra, we're more likely to be aware of our physical appearance and overall health.

Here are some of the ways that the New Moon in Libra can affect the physical body:

  • Increased energy levels. The New Moon is a time of new beginnings, and this energy can also be felt in the physical body. We may feel more energetic and motivated to get things done.

  • Improved skin health. Libra is associated with the kidneys and skin, so the New Moon in Libra can be a good time to focus on improving our skin health. We can do this by drinking plenty of water, eating a healthy diet, and using gentle skincare products.

  • Hormone balance. The New Moon in Libra can also help to balance our hormones. This is because Libra is associated with the endocrine system, which produces hormones that regulate our mood, energy levels, and sleep.

If you're experiencing any physical imbalances, the New Moon in Libra is a good time to start working on healing them. Here are a few tips:

  • Drink plenty of water. Water is essential for good health, but it's especially important during the New Moon in Libra. Water helps to flush out toxins and keep our kidneys healthy.

  • Eat a healthy diet. Eating a balanced diet is important for overall health, but it's especially important during the New Moon in Libra. Focus on eating plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.

  • Get enough sleep. Sleep is essential for physical and mental health. During the New Moon in Libra, aim to get 7-8 hours of sleep per night.

  • Exercise regularly. Exercise is a great way to improve our physical and mental health. During the New Moon in Libra, aim to get at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise most days of the week.

If you're feeling out of balance during the New Moon in Libra, take some time for yourself to relax and recharge. You can do this by taking a bath, reading a book, or spending time in nature. You can also try some gentle yoga or meditation.

The New Moon in Libra is a time to focus on balance and harmony in all areas of our lives, including our physical bodies. By taking care of ourselves during this time, we can set ourselves up for a healthy and happy new cycle.
