New Moon in Libra
This is the time to draw within and realign yourself with your inner balance.
As the moon reaches the darkest point in her cycle, she calls us to journey within – to enter into stillness and silence and really listen to that deep inner voice inside you. And it may seem that your external circumstances are conspiring to ensure that you really do. Heading towards another potential lockdown, many of us will have no choice but to retreat into our roots once more and meet the deep inner wisdom that’s waiting there for us. Libra is the sign of balance, so this moon is inviting you to reflect deeply on where you may be out of alignment with yourself or your higher calling.
What is 2020 calling you to step up to?
Have you felt that inner stirring that you are here for something other than the life you’ve been living? 2020 may have stripped away almost everything that you thought you were. What has been brought into focus for you now? And what is the life of higher alignment you are seeding into being?
The New Moon is a powerful time to set intentions for what you would like to create in your life going forward. Taking this opportunity to sit deeply with yourself, listen to that inner whisper and make notes. Journal with awareness on those areas of your life that are not in balance with your highest purpose, and list the ways you can bring yourself into alignment with your deepest truth going forward.
If 2020 has shown us anything, it’s that NOW is the time to take positive action in co-creating the world we want to see, the vision that we are here to seed. If you have a longing for a more meaningful life, it is the cosmic consciousness yearning to express itself in a higher form through you. Are you ready to step up to the challenge? It is what you were born for…
And it’s alright if you don’t feel quite ready yet, if you’re still not quite sure what that new and abundant life will look like for you specifically. We’re still in the dreaming phase. Deepening within to go down to our roots and dream the details. Or maybe just call in the bigger picture – the details will come as you take each new and exciting step on your path of life with renewed purpose, vitality and intention.
What is this year calling you to bring to completion, so that you can release and let go to move on differently?
Indecision leads to a depletion of your energy, creating insecurity and uncertainty. The global pandemic has created so much fear and uncertainty, so much indecision and insecurity around us. Drawing within to nourish yourself now, and getting clear about your intentions, is one of the highest forms of self-care that will both rebalance and re-energise you.
Listen to your gut, make clear decisions and set decisive intentions. Take action toward the radiantly abundant life you are co-creating, to initiate the process of bringing it into being.
Are you finding yourself knocked off balance by the relentlessly negative news cycle? A positive way to bring yourself back to your centre can be to shift your focus from all the bad things that seem to be happening and look for sources of inspiration and empowerment. It’s great to know that amidst everything else that’s happening there are also forest-planting projects, local veg boxes, organic food production, an increasing awareness of sustainable living and growing your own greens…
Bringing yourself back into balance can mean recalibrating your awareness to seek out the good news and positivity that’s easy to miss. But once you bring it into your consciousness, it can blossom and grow so that you notice it more and more. This can have a profoundly positive effect on your mental health and overall wellbeing. Bringing you back into greater alignment with a truth that is not as one-sided as it may seem.
Libra Moon focuses our energy and attention on our relationships, loved ones, inner alignment and authenticity. Creating a call to courage. Inviting you to let go of all that no longer serves you. Empowering you to live the authentic life you dare to dream.
How Luna Rhythms Yoga can support you during this Libra New Moon:
At Luna Rhythms, our unique system of yoga integrated with the lunar cycles and solar seasons teaches techniques from the ancient yogic practices of asana, pranayama, mudra, bandha and mantra in alignment with the energies of the day, season and cycle. This New Moon in Libra invites you to listen deep within and take courageous action to realign yourself with your inner truth.
Samavritti is a pranayama breathing practice to deepen into stillness and align you with your inner balance. This is a breath of equal inhalation and exhalation. Sitting in a comfortable meditation posture, notice your breath entering in through your nostrils as you count to four. Then gently exhale to a count of four. Continue this breath as you sit quietly in contemplation. Make notes and journal with any thoughts that are arising at the end of your practice.
If you are an experienced practitioner, you can include a retention for four counts between the inhale and the exhale. Never retain your breath for longer than feels comfortable, and only practice the retention if you have a regular yoga practice and a competent teacher to guide you.
At this dark night of the year, the intentions you set for your own rebirth are powerful and potent. You are invited to join me for a forty-day Sadhana (practice) starting on 31 October to support your activation of courage, as you release old patterns of behaviour and beliefs to set intentions for the fulfilled and purposeful life you were born to live! Together we will end the powerful year of 2020 with practices that will strengthen, uplift, support and bring great grace as we call forth our warrior spirit in these times of change. Registration is just £55 for the full forty-day Activation if booked before 21 October.
In deep love,
Diana
